Today, Prof. Marco Giacalone is presenting at the Universitat de Barcelona as part of the seminar “EFECTIVIDAD Y MECANISMOS DE PROTECCIÓN DE LA PERSONA CONSUMIDORA. Acciones colectivas, ADR y vías tempranas de prevención del conflicto".
The seminar brings together leading scholars in European and international consumer law to discuss key developments in collective redress, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), and early-stage conflict prevention, central to improving the effectiveness of consumer protection frameworks .
Prof. Giacalone’s contribution, titled “ADR en Europa: la simplificación de los procedimientos de consumo y proyectos SCAN/DEUCE”, examines the simplification of dispute resolution procedures, drawing on insights from the SCAN and DEUCE projects coordinated by the Dike Research Group. His presentation contributes to ongoing discussions on enhancing the accessibility and efficiency of dispute resolution systems across Europe.
