The Final Conference of the CREA3 Project – “Conflict Resolution with Equitative Algorithms” will take place in Naples on 24 and 25 September 2026, bringing together academics, legal professionals and practitioners to discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with the use of artificial intelligence in justice and dispute resolution.
The conference will provide an opportunity to present and discuss the work developed throughout the CREA3 project, with particular attention to the design and use of AI-assisted tools in family justice and to the broader legal and societal questions raised by their introduction into judicial and dispute-resolution settings.
The programme is structured around four thematic panels:
Panel 1 – Trust, Identity and Governance in AI-Enabled Justice
The first panel will address questions concerning the responsible design and governance of AI in justice, including trust, dignity, explainability, identity and the integration of AI-assisted dispute resolution within existing legal frameworks.
Panel 2 – Inside CREA3: Designing, Testing and Operationalising AI-Assisted Family Justice
The second panel will focus specifically on the CREA3 project, presenting its methodological, legal and technical dimensions. Contributions will examine vulnerability and access to justice, interdisciplinary collaboration between legal scholars and computer scientists, and the development of the CREA3 Legal Assistant and Allocation Engine. The session will conclude with demonstrations and presentations of the tools developed within the project.
Panel 3 – AI-Assisted Legal Decision-Making: Family Property, Financial Vulnerability and Beyond
The second day will open with a panel devoted to AI-assisted legal decision-making, examining its application to inheritance disputes, electronic identification, cross-border dispute resolution, predictive justice and non-discrimination.
Panel 4 – Human-Centred AI in Family Justice: Dignity, Fairness, Vulnerability and Contestability
The final panel will consider the conditions for a human-centred approach to AI-assisted justice, with contributions addressing digital exclusion and vulnerability, procedural fairness, contestability, human oversight and the protection of individual autonomy in AI-assisted family property disputes.
