Francesca Galloni

Francesca Galloni is a PhD Candidate in Law, Science and Technology (LAST-JD) since November 2024. They graduated with honors in Law from the University of Bologna, where they studied from 2017 to 2022.

Her research lies at the intersection of law and artificial intelligence, focusing on the development of methods and applications of legal analytics for extracting knowledge from case law in civil law systems. In particular, her work explores the use of AI techniques to analyze national and European judicial decisions, with an emphasis on text summarization and argument mining.

The aim of her research is to improve the efficiency and accuracy of legal research, promote greater consistency in legal interpretation, and support informed decision-making among legal professionals.
