Federich Romby
Biography
Federich is an Italian qualified lawyer and holds law degrees in Italy (University of Cagliari), Spain (Universidad Catolica de Santa Teresa de Avila) and the United Kingdom (LL.M., London School of Economics, 2013). Federich currently works as a lawyer at DG Competition of the European Commission, and prior to that he worked for international law firms in Brussels, Paris and Milan, where he specialized in European law, focusing in particular on EU, competition and intellectual property law. Federich Romby has also been an affiliated researcher of LSTS (Law, Science, Technology and Society Research Group of Vrije Universiteit Brussels) since May 2019.
Federich's research interests cover the intersections between competition law and technology, ranging from data abuses, collusion and artificial intelligence as well as the interplay between blockchain and competition law.
Federich has published in leading international journals on topics related to competition law and intellectual property rights and delivers seminars at the LSTS as part of the course of Prof. Marco Giacalone.
