Dr. Seyedeh Sajedeh Salehi
Biography
Sajedeh is a PhD researcher at the PREC/LSTS departments and a member to the DIKE research group. As part of her reserach, she is mainly focused on evaluating the use and efficacy of online (alternative) dispute resolution models to promote access to justice for consumers in EU. She has been involved in several past and ongoing EU projects inclduing SCAN (Small Claims Analysis Net), CREA (Conflict Resolution with Equitative Algorithms), and SCAN II (Small Claims Analysis Net II).
Sajedeh holds LL.M in Innovation, Technology and Law from the Edinburgh University Law School (2017) and LL.B from Shahid Beheshti University of Tehran (2009). Her LL.M dissertation concentrated on the EU laws on consumer protection in online and distance selling contracts and assessment of the effective measures to advance the pertinent legal protections. She has won several scholarships including, the Edinburgh full scholarship for LLM (2016), the Lund University Global full scholarship (2015) and the International Women Lawyers of IBA scholarship (2015).
Sajedeh is also a legal practitioner as a member of the Iran Bar. She has also been appointed as the legal and international affairs advisor to the head of the Science & Tech Park of the Province (2017). She has been actively involved in providing counselling and dealing with various legal issues specifically on Tech & Startup Companies.
Her main research interests are Online Dispute Resolution, Alternative Dispute Resolution, consumer protection, and comparative civil procedure law.
